Participants clad in traditional "happi" coats carry a "mikoshi,"
or portable shrine during a festival parade on a street near Yushima Tenjin shrine in Tokyo, on Sunday.

The shrine, where the spirit of a renowned scholar is believed to be enshrined, receives a lot of students praying for success in the entrance exams which come in February and March in Japan.
