I wrote about sticky rice yesterday.
We eat a lot of them in Oshogatsu. 
We eat a lot.
There are some snacks and sweets made by sticky rice.
This is Wagashi (Japanese sweet cake and food).

Many families have it in Ozoni (soup). 
Ozoni is varied and taste differs in each area but has sticky rice in the soup.

Otoshidama is money the elderly gives to children.
I was excited to receive it when I was little.
Do you have Otoshidama in your country?


In Japan Oshogatsu is from 1 to 3 January.
Some people go back to work from tomorrow.

We give Otoshidama for my children : I'm full with Dassai(Japanese Sake) adn Osechi

I am full with Osechi and Dassai(Japanese Sake).

We gave Otoshidama for my children.
Otoshidama meas money gaved children for happy new years.

Dassai is very popular Japanese Sake like white wine. very tasty.
and We eat Osechi on 1 January.

Osechi has a few box piled.
This has a meaning of accumulating happiness.
Each family and area has different food inside.
