Chidorigafuchi (by Yasu)

It is now the middle of the Sakura Season!
Let's us share some of these wonderful places to enjoy Sakura together!

This place with such beautiful cherry blossom night scenery is Chidorigafuchi. Located at Tokyo,

it is a moat found in the northwest of the Imperial Palace,

and it is said the name comes from the moat's shape, which resembles plovers (chidori in Japanese).

From late March to early April,
the 700 m-long pedestrian path will be covered with the blossoms of about 260 cherry trees of different species, such as Somei-Yoshino and Oshima-Zakura.

The trees are lit up at night in the cherry blossom season,
and a gorgeous tunnel of flowers creates an especially magical atmosphere.

Directions: 5 minutes on foot from Tokyo Metro Kudanshita Station or Hanzomon Station.
