mikoshi
Participants clad in traditional "happi" coats carry a "mikoshi,"
or portable shrine during a festival parade on a street near Yushima Tenjin shrine in Tokyo, on Sunday.
The shrine, where the spirit of a renowned scholar is believed to be enshrined, receives a lot of students praying for success in the entrance exams which come in February and March in Japan.

Children's Day in Japan on May
The Samurai are Japanese warriors who led the country during 700 years.
However it was difficult to become a Samurai because the training started from the childhood.
These warriors mastered almost every martial arts, the swords, wrestling, horse riding and archery.
They had morals to respect and a code of honor very important written in the “Bushido” (the way of the warrior).
Concerning theirs arms, they usually used a Katana, a Wakizashi (small sword) and also a Tanto (dagger) and a bow with arrows.
For protection, Samurai had sophisticated armours for the era with quite huge helmets.
Indeed, the armour weighed between 10 and 20 kg, whereas the European armours of the same era weighed 35 kg.
The armours were mainly composed by a mask, a throat protection, shoulder protections, chest armour,
armoured gloves, gauntlets, a fauld, cuisses and greaves.
The captain also had a commanders baton called Saihai which was used to give commands or signals his troops during battles.
You will find in this category, decorations in relation to these brave warriors:
armours, helmets and figurines which will have a prominent place in your interior.
Adults and children will be taken back to the universe of the Samurai and feudal Japan.
In Japan, these representations are mainly used for the Children’s day or Kodomo no hi, May the 5th.
Indeed, It is said that they bring luck and health to the children.
This tradition date few centuries back but it is still present in the Japanese society.
